Our time on earth is so short
It’s about how we lived that will fill the report
So much stress and worry that is true
But how you handle it is up to you
Always achieving and chasing the dream
How things appear isn’t always, as they seem
Searching and looking for things outside of you
Will eventually leave you empty and feeling blue
Fame and Fortune will all drift away
It’s the simple things in life that bring joy and play
What you tap into determines your walk
Each day supplies new choices for the color of the chalk
It’s time to give up the fight and be free
Let your spirit guide you and drop to your knees
Surrender the fight the walk alone is empty
Always trying to win on your own leaves you grumpy
What you need is to connect with inside
There are the answers that supply a much better ride
You hold the power of choice you see
It’s time to align with your inner Chi
For when you do this and silence your mind
There lie the answers that are one of a kind
Seeking spirit is different for all
Everyone is unique and has their own call
Hold love in your heart and do your part
Because when time is up there will be a new start
The light is bright nobody can deny
When the journey ends others will cry
It’s that last breath that remains in silence
And then it’s time to fly home with gentle guidance
