With London being the capital and the largest city in England, there are many attractions to pick from, but when time is limited, making an impact for a quick visit is essential.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

London\u2019s sprawling city has so much to offer, from art, history, culture, and much more. In this blog post, I will summarize the top 5 places to visit that impact the most significantly.<\/p>\n

1. Harrods<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As one of the most famous and most prominent department stores in the world, Harrods is a must-visit. \u00a0Various items can be found at this iconic store, from high-fashion clothing to gourmet food items, including chocolate (did somebody say chocolate?) and premium customer service.<\/p>\n

A fun fact about Harrods is it started as a single-room store selling tea and groceries. Considering the thousands of shoppers that pass through their doors daily it is remarkable from how they started back in 1834.<\/p>\n

2. Take in A Show<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

London\u2019s West End, home to some of the most theater streets in the world, is known as the Theater District, and it offers close to 40 venues. When visiting the Waldorf Astoria, I had the incredible pleasure of seeing The Tina Turner Musical; if you are a fan of her music, it is a show to place at the top of your list. 3. Consider a Rock & Roll Tour<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Whether Rock & Roll is the top music of choice, it offers a fantastic history, especially in London. In search of the perfect tour, I wanted more of an intimate group feel rather than a large one. So, I checked out Airbnb tours and landed the most incredible host, Al, who knew his Rock & Roll history and is a performer. 4. Changing of the Guards<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The ceremony<\/a> takes place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, spanning three locations: Buckingham Palace, St James\u2019s Palace, and Wellington Barracks, so there is no single spot where you can see the entire Guard Mount. That\u2019s why I recommend booking an expert guide. The ceremony is worth seeing; it starts at 10:45 am and lasts 45 minutes.<\/p>\n

5. Eat Fish & Chips at a Local Pub<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Modern pubs play an essential role in British culture and socializing. With over 3500 pubs, how do you know which is the best for fish & chips? Walking around London, I discovered Nicholson\u2019s Freehouse, The Wellington<\/a>, established in 1873, featuring a sign saying, \u201cThe Best Fish & chips in town served here.\u201d The best way to eat English Fish & chips is with malt vinegar; I even put it on my fries or, as they say in England \u2013 chips.<\/p>\n

I encourage you to get in your steps, walk around, and take in all that the beauty of London has to offer. I found some of the most incredible artwork on my walking journey. So, slip on your comfortable shoes, grab an umbrella just in case, and head out for a day of exploration.<\/p>\n
